Operant Dyad™

Operant Dyad™ is a Perfinitive Research program focused on persistent human-AI interaction: what accumulates across repeated collaboration, where consequential state is carried, how continuity affects later behavior, and what governance becomes necessary when interaction history matters beyond the immediate exchange.

Scope of the program

Operant Dyad does not function as a universal explanation for all human-AI phenomena. Perfinitive Research intentionally uses broader discovery and evaluation methods so that findings are not forced into the Operant Dyad framework.

Current experimental direction

Current methods work is examining whether persistent effects can be localized across human-side state, AI-side state, explicit memory, shared artifacts, reciprocal partner models, and pairing-sensitive interaction history.

A distinct, irreducible dyadic state has not been established.

From Persistence Detection to Carrier Localization

A persistent effect should not be presumed to belong to a unitary “Relationship State.”

Current work asks a harder question:

Where is the consequential effect of accumulated interaction actually carried?

  • distributed or pairing-sensitive combinations

This is an internal research sequence under development, not yet a validated formal model.

A stronger dyadic interpretation weakens if human-side state, AI-side state, reciprocal partner models, explicit memory, artifacts, and current input sufficiently explain downstream behavior.
